Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 7 November 2008 7.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was executed on Nov 4 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer.

A Chandra image release was issued on Nov 5 of the Crab Nabula. The image gives the first clear view of the faint boundary of the Crab Nebular's X-ray-emitting pulsar and wind. For further details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2008/crab/

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes three observations of NGC 4051 coordinated with Suzaku.
