Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 20 June 2025 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Real-time procedures were executed on Jun 15, 16, and 17 to dump OBC-A and -B memory as a follow-up to the Jun 12 upload of the patch to update the Low Energy Transmission Grating insertion logic. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory images maintained on the ground.

An issue occurred with data downlinked on Jun 12 during the comm pass with DSS-65 beginning at 5:15PM EDT. Due to a software issue in the DSN equipment, the data were partially corrupted and are unusable for science processing. Three observations were impacted and will be rescheduled in future weeks.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of SN2014ab coordinated with VLA.
