During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to incorporate observations of SGRB210726A and GRB210726A which were both accepted as Targets of Opportunity on Jul 27. Time from scheduled observations of Collinder 197 and NGC 3268 was impacted by the replan and will be rescheduled in a future week. A real-time procedure was executed on Jul 30 to uplink a flight software patch that updates the feed-forward unloading torque scale factor, one of the momentum unloading parameters. This change will address an increasing trend in the observed maximum attitude errors during momentum unloads. Additional real-time procedures will be executed to dump OBC-A and -B memory as a follow-up to the patch. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory images maintained on the ground. Of note this week was the announcement on Jul 23 of the Cycle 23 Peer Review recommended programs. For details see: http://cxc.harvard.edu/target_lists/cycle23/index.html The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of NGC 6814 coordinated with XMM and NuSTAR, and an observation of IGR J16318-4848 coordinated with NuSTAR. |
