Q&A: Chandra Mission

Q:
I was looking to find out how the Chandra's research and discoveries are affecting people in their everyday lives?

A:
One such area is Nano-technology with direct applications to high-speed electronics, lases, and flat-panel displays. Some of this technology was developed when building the High-Energy Transmission Grating Spectrometer. A major player in this was Mark Schattenburg who is now director of the Space Nanotechnology Lab at MIT.
