The Chandra deployment crew spends hundreds of hours learning all aspects of the mission so they will be prepared to meet any problems, which may appear during the mission. Each shuttle crew designs their own mission patches, and the STS-93 patch shows Columbia, Chandra, a background galaxy, and the French and American flags.
