Chandra has an aspect camera so it can position itself against the background field of stars, and a sunshade door and light detector to protect itself from too much light. Chandra slews (turns) slower than a minute hand on a clock, 31 minutes to turn 90 degrees compared to 15 minutes for 90 degrees on a clock.
