I know what the following astronomical names mean: (M)=Messier, and (NGC)=New General Catalog, and (IC)=Index Catalogs. Does the (W) stand for anything in W49B?

The W in W49B is named for Gart Westerhout, the Dutch radio astronomer who first discovered it.
