Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 13 August 2004 9.30am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

An image release was made on Aug 13 of the galaxy cluster Abell 2125 that reveals a complex of several massive multimillion-degree-Celsius gas clouds in the process of merging. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2004/a2125/

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of the Target of Opportunity 4U 1630-472 coordinated with the VLA, RXTE and INTEGRAL.
