Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 4 January 2008 9.00am EST

Happy New Year from the Chandra team.

During the last two weeks Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Chandra passed through the six eclipses of the 2007/2008 Winter season between Dec 21 and Jan 3 with nominal power and thermal performance. The spacecraft was configured in the medium eclipse mode for all the eclipses. Following the final eclipse on Jan 3, a real-time procedure was completed on Jan 4 to disable SCS 29.

A real-time procedure was completed on Dec 21 to dump OBC-A memory as a follow-up to the Radmon K-constant patch that was uploaded on Dec 18 in support of the EPHIN detector G high voltage turn-off. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory image maintained on the ground.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below.
