Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 19 August 2005 8.30am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was completed on 17 August to update the on-board ephemeris.

A Chandra image release was issued on 17 August describing recent observations that have revealed new details about the fiery ring surrounding the stellar explosion that produced Supernova 1987A. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2005/sn87a/

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of Kelu-1 coordinated with the VLA.
