Operations CXO Status Report
Friday 31 January 2003, 7.00am EST
During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
Chandra passed through the second and third eclipses of the Spring
2003 season on 26 and 28 Jan with nominal power and thermal
performance. A real-time procedure was run following the eclipse on
Jan 28 to disable the Momentum Unload subfunction in the flight
software to ensure momentum dumps remain under manual control.
A real-time procedure was completed on 25 Jan to collect dump data at
a variety of data rates with deconvolutional encoding disabled. The
data will be used as part of an investigation into absolute timing
accuracy.
The observing schedule for next week is shown below and includes an
observation of the Earth.
