Operations CXO Status Report

Monday 3/27/00 11.30am EST

During the last week, Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

The observatory passed through the 11th and 12th eclipses of the Spring 2000 season with nominal power and thermal performance. The eclipses were both medium duration (40-100 min) and occurred on 3/22 at 7:36pm EST (47.9 min), 3/25 at 11:08am EST (42.7 min). The final eclipse of the season will occur at 2:43am on 3/28.

A real-time procedure was completed on 3/25 to uplink a software constant patch to configure the Electrical Power System software for the final eclipse of the spring 2000 season. The eclipse will be a short eclipse ( < 40 minutes). A second patch will be uplinked following this eclipse to configure for the solstice period.
