This animation depicts a spiral galaxy like the Milky Way where
hot X-ray-emitting gas emanates from regions of recent star formation
in the galaxy’s disk. The animation then dissolves into the
X-ray/Ultraviolet composite image of NGC 4631 before finally zooming
into the central region of the galaxy as seen by Chandra and Hubble.
